Official opening of the Halifax North Memorial Public Library begins a tradition of library service in the north end.

The Halifax Explosion Remembrance Book is on display at the library. It is a list those 1,951 identified victims, their ages, their local residential addresses at the time of the disaster, and their subsequent places of burial.
