Our Stories, Our Experiences
A Talk Show Through the Eyes of African Nova ScotiansHalifax Central Library's fifth floor Living Room became the set for a full-fledged talk show this past year. Led and hosted by social worker and community connector, Rajean Willis, Our Stories, Our Experiences works to spread awareness on various social issues impacting the African Nova Scotian community and those of African Descent. Through engaging sit-down conversations with small groups on topics ranging from race-based trauma to healing, the series empowers community members to use their voices and share their stories.
In this story, Rajean reflects on the journey and how it will continue forward.
