Service change: Stackmap, September 30

As of September 30, 2026, Halifax Public Libraries has discontinued the use of StackMap, a digital map of our collection. We made this decision based on:

  • Low usage
  • Staff resources to update the tool
  • Annual costs

Halifax Public Libraries regularly reviews all services to the community based on value and usage. We know some community members regularly used this service, and we will continue to look for ways to easily browse our collection.
